So this is a good story that is superbly written in the beautiful English that prevailed. It is easy to read and offers more than a glimpse on the efforts made, during the acme of empire, to encourage young people to be brave, decent, and innovative.

Welcome to the final, heart-pounding episode of the Scrapyard Ship series. It's all about to end in one climatic crescendo.

The story continues with Captain Jason Reynolds and his team: Billy, Rizzo, and the rhino-warrior, Traveler. They must attempt to rescue Ricket and Gaddy, still held captive aboard the impregnable Dreathlor prison barge. Only after the rescue can Jason return to the Lilly, his highly advanced Caldurian vessel...where it all began.

The elusive Admiral Ot-Mul, leader of the Craing Drac-Vin forces, has not only survived, but thrived in the far outer-reaches of space. With hundreds of thousands of warships under his command, Ot-Mul's combined fleets are on the move. But, in truth, he cares about little else than making one man suffer...Captain Jason Reynolds.

With an enormous fighting force on the horizon, it's the last call to battle. Will the decimated Allied worlds reunite one more time? Will Ot-Mul get his vengeance by taking those most dear to Jason - Mollie, Boomer, Nan, and Dira - and using them to rip Jason's world and his very existence apart?

It's the human race (and a few friends) against vastly superior numbers of the evil Admiral what's his name and his space armada. While I kept rooting for the success and survival of all of the characters created in the prior novels, it takes more than a village to accomplish that task. I still have the feeling that each predicament and miracle solution was created by sitting around a table, drinking copious quantities of beer (or beverage of choice) while watching old Star Trek, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, and even some Dr. Who episodes, with an occasional MacGyver thrown in for fun plot developments. Still a light and fun read and, I suspect there will be other "spin off" books to come with either Boomer and Mollie, or Captain Reynolds and Dira, or Captain Stalls and his smart alec brother...and, of course Ricket.

It's just fun Science Fiction. There's lots of cool stuff, plenty of things which force you to suspend judgement, but all of it works. I like the alien characters and how they interact with the heroes. After 7 books you get to know the characters very well and feel like you know them. McGinnis' writing style is uncomplicated. He doesn't rely on lots of flashbacks to confuse the reader. The plot flows in straight lines so it's an easy read. Almost too easy in fact, since I get through the series' books in two days. But I'm reading for enjoyment and relaxation, not developing deep insights or introspection. Phase shifting is the key element the story relies on to make for interesting battle situations. That and some very superior battle armor. I'm not saying more for I don't want to spoil the fun.

By jjdrymiller Surprising! Book 7 of Jason and crew and the Scrapyard Ship. I've had some heartburn with previous books in series and Mr. McGinnis' failure to find solutions to elements like Stalls and Ot-Mul; or to the romantic relationships. I was concerned as this book progressed that we were having more of the same. I was wrong. Mr. McGinnis finally gives us some solutions. Well I'm still a little vague on why Stalls isn't dead. This really was a great wrap up to the series. Battles fought; realationships strained and strengthened; loss and hope.My hope is that we have more of Jason and Dira; Ricket and Traveler; and as much of the gang as Mr. McGinnis can get in.

The Roman fleet has been defeated and the threat of invasion removed. Arthur Britannicus has taken the throne as Imperator – Emperor of Britain. He is a symbol of hope, uniting the fractious tribes of Britain who have been oppressed and mistreated for so long. However, as the threat from Rome retreats, the intimidation from Saxon warlords intensifies. Arthur must draw his sword and muster his forces again if he is to keep his island under British rule. While Arthur builds his cavalry and trains up his army, his old enemy, Maximian, Augustus of the West, plots his downfall. Seething over Arthur’s execution of his general, Constantius, Maximian will look to take Arthur's kingdom - and his life. War again seems inevitable, unlike victory. Arthur Imperator combines myth with historical fact to tell the compelling story of the rise of a legendary British Emperor. For fans of Tim Severin, Robyn Young and Simon Scarrow.

Tour de Force of 3rd century Britain military and Emperor Carausius, Arth, the Bear, who deserved never to be forgotten By Coolfire Author Paul Bannister in Arthur Imperator has again demonstrated his outstanding research abilities to reach back into dim ages and vividly describe, in detail, as it was. Whereas the book is fiction, it is a tour de force in well researched historic detail.“Emperor Caesar Marcus Aurelius Mausaeus Carausius, Dutiful, Fortunate, the Unconquered”, (original in Latin, discovered Roman mile marker) - “Arth,” (from Ginas, first Britain written historian), Celtic for “The Bear,” was indeed very real, though little known to our modern age.The coincidences between his brief bright comet across early Britain’s history are too many to rule out that he indeed may have been the origin of the Arthurian legends, for Ginas was the first by far to note the “Warrior of Battles,” Arth, the Bear. On his Roman coins, the face of the Bear looks as if it comes right out of his neck, the latter resembling the neck of a bear.In Arthur Imperator Arthur serves as the vehicle for Roman, Saxon, and various tribes’ tactics, strategies, weapons, practices, living conditions, food, supply & material considerations, transport, intelligence, etc. This Arthur is written into the rich, detailed military environment of the time. Bannister focuses us upon that which Arthur himself must focus for strategic and tactical considerations, and does so constantly. This novel is not a love story; it’s a story of the toils of a man pulling together tribes while constantly fighting betrayals and invaders.Understand, this series of books are historical framed within fiction, with some changes in sequences and fates of some of the historical players. For those interested in some of the background of the real man, Carausius, the Bear, you will find the closing chapters, “Historical and other notes,” and “Arthur and Carausius: legend and links” well worth your time.Privately, my first research paper, seemingly centuries ago, was written on Arthur, and I had never heard of Carausius. I sincerely thank author Paul Bannister for bringing to light a man who never should have been forgotten.

Delighted to say the sequel more than stacks up. Blood and guts, valiant action, devious and tragic characters - I truly feel for the sorceress Caria; her exeunt left me in tears - while rip-roaring sea raider Grimr had me cheering like a madman. A hugely entertaining read, along with nice slices of obviously deeply researched history. Bannister puts you right there in the middle of it. (Caveat emptor - you will learn more about how to crucify someone than you might wanna know; and - short of the resurrection of the Roman Empire - certainly more than you will ever need.) If some Hollywood mover and shaker doesn't see the potential here ("Braveheart" south of the border, with a much bigger land- and seascape) there's no justice. Arthur rules!

Arthur Imperator By Book Worm From Mission Viejo I got hooked on Paul Bannister's thrilling and captivating series about King Arthur's battles in " Arthur Britannicus." The sequel is even more dazzling. The characters and scenes come alive thanks to all the gripping detail and colorful descriptions. This book is undoubtedly the closest I would like to be in fighting the Romans! Great history of what it was like to live in that time.Thank you, Paul, for another great read.

This is a novel with a historical basis. The origins of which are my great grandfather’s story. Wilhelm Otto Ludwig von Thoene was born in North Germany in the mid 19th century and upon viewing a German recruitment poster in his high school senior year he enlisted along with a number of his friends. They played in a German navy ship’s band and when the ship found itself in Honolulu they became involved with and eventually became a part of an existing German community and decided to desert their ship and remain in Honolulu. My great grandfather and his friends were soon recruited into the Hawaii Guard a German militia in the islands in which he was a sergeant. The Hawaii Guard became involved with the mandatory transport of leper victims to the Molokai leper colony that was under the care and management of Father Damien. Later, they were involved in the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy. The fictional story is about six young men graduating from a military high school in Germany that enlist in the German Navy and find themselves posted on an Austrian man of war frigate SMS Donau on a global expedition in 1868. The six young men were under orders to accompany a German army captain on the ship whose destination is the Kingdom of Hawaii and his name is Heinrich Berger who was invited by King Kamehameha V by way of the German Kaiser Wilhelm to compose music pieces as well as to conduct the Royal Hawaiian Band. The ship is severely damaged in a typhoon after departing Japan for Honolulu, Hawaii in late 1869. As a consequence the ship was delayed for repairs in the Hawaiian Kingdom for several months whereby said youths become spellbound by “paradise.” While in Honolulu, they meet a number of influential Germans that had already established two German communities in the Kingdom with one of them on the island of Oahu and the other on the island of Kauai. Because of their extensive military training they are invited into the Hawaii Guard under the command of Captain Charles Zeiler, Jr. They all agree to accept the positions offered with the Hawaii Guard and desert their ship with the consequences being death by hanging should they ever return to their native land. The directive from their benefactors, Mr. Heinrich Hackfeld and Mr. Claus Spreckles, is to support the monarchy, however as the story progresses they become more and more torn in their support for those that gave them the opportunity to live in paradise and others that were determined to put an end to it and make it a Territory of the United States of America. Over the thirty year period from 1868 through 1898 they find themselves in the midst of an immense struggle. Trying to do what’s right on behalf of the monarchy of the Kingdom of Hawaii, and at the same time getting caught up in a wave of ever increasing pressure to at first compromise, and finally to change their perspective and capitulate to what becomes the inevitable outcome of secession and annexation as the Far East becomes increasingly important to America and more and more Americans pour into the Kingdom of Hawaii to support the American gravy train that eventually spans two thirds of the globe.

Our edition reproduces the numerous illustrations, maps and charts in full size, so that all text is legible. Larkin believed that God laid it on his heart to prepare a work on Dispensational Truth (or God's Plan and Purpose in the Ages), illustrated with many maps, charts and descriptive matter. After more than three years efforts, mostly designing and drawing the charts and illustrations, the book was extremely well received in 1918 and remains to this day a much used spiritual guide. As a result of its success and wide circulation, the first edition was soon sold out, and subsequently followed by a second edition, and later, with a revised edition.

I am so glad to see this book in a cheaper paperback as it has been very expensive in the past over 50 years and difficult to get. I paid fifty dollars for my copy in 1976.This book was written around 1917 by Clarence Larkin. It is filled with easy to use graphs as well as the explaination of the graph. It is an excellent book to use for reference as a teaching aid or just for private Bible study. It is very through teaching of the dispensational ages as the Bible sets them out. Knowing the seven ages in the Bible is the "Key" to unlocking many truths and placing them into proper order. Example; Age of innocents, conscience, human government, age of law , age of grace, which is the age we are living in at this present time. The ages explain how God is dealing with man in each age and why; This book is a must have for any serious Bible student. I have notice that the more recent graphs on the dispensation are all taken from Mr Larkins works.Mr Larkin didn't just do graphs but is a great Bible Student himself. His teaching is excellent. His insite can only be from our Dear Savior Himself. If you can afford the Hardback I highly recommend it as the paperback has smaller print and not as easy to read. My vision is poor therefore I prefer to larger print.

I did want to keep his copy too long, so I purchased my own copy. I got the paperback copy. The printers reduced the pages in the portrait size book and turned the book vertically. The writings and charts and the pictures were significantly reduced and hard to read. So I am waiting for the original book to come down from it's price and I will purchase it. The book is excellent! But this one turned vertical was not.

Clarence Larkin was a man ahead of his time. God gave him great insight into the Bible and prophecy. His drawings are unparalleled. You won't be disappointed in this book. The paperback edition is priced reasonable. If you get the same in hardback cover it will cost about $43. The Estate of Clarence Larkin sells the charts in a larger format if you find them hard to read. The charts are inexpensive. Just google "Clarence Larkin Estate" and you will find the site. I have a magnifying glass that helps me and I am also an older person with trouble with my eyesight. For most people there would be no problem. My husband has been studying these charts and reading Clarence Larkin books for 30 yrs. He has also had a Bible Study where he taught this material. I highly recommend this book.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Sophie's Salvation By Kindle Customer Very heartwarming story. This book is a continuation Janet Aylmer's book, Julia and the Master of Morancourt. I say continuation because this story picks up after the marriage of her sister Julia to Christopher Douglas, Master of Morancourt. Theirs was a marriage of love and deep respect. The second Maitland daughter, Sophie, is determined to outdo her sister. She listens to her mother's direction to marry for money and position, so decides to marry Christopher's older brother Jack Douglas. However, here's is not the happy and wonderful match her sister made and she is disillusioned. When she finally joins her husband in Leeds, she not only sees just how bad her life is, but recognizes just how bad the conditions are for the people working in the mill his father sent him to run. Inciting a riot at the mill for putting in more modern machinery, Jack is hit in the head with a rock. Sophie is given a second chance to get it right. Traveling between Derbyshire, Bath, and Morancourt, Sophie is constantly thrown into new situations that cause her to grow and changes her attitudes about wealth and the lower class people working in the mines and mills. She is constantly being surrounded by her father's heir, Mr. Hartford. Her feelings about him are constantly evolving from hate to undying love. Fortunately Sophie has learned what love is and discovers a marriage just like her older sister's. Good story. Dialogue with Darcy is the third book in the group telling about the youngest Mainland daughter finding happiness. Makes sense to read in order.

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Seaside Romance to Carry Readers Away By Rambling Reader "Love's Rescue" is a seaside romance written to carry readers away to the sweltering Florida Keys on waves of intrigue and emotion. I enjoyed this book, but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. The novel caught my attention at the beginning, both in the prologue and through the first few chapters when the perils of life at sea and in the historic Florida Keys are brought to life in vivid detail. From hurricanes to shipwrecks, Christine Johnson showcases Key West in a historic light. The snippets of Key West and seafaring history were highlights of the novel. There was potential for "Love's Rescue" to venture into deep emotional waters. The plot dips into topics like physical disability, slavery, and deceit just enough to add interest to the plot, but it never ventured as far below the surface as I hoped. Likewise, there were a few characters who I wanted to know better, especially Elizabeth's brother, Charlie. Elizabeth is a heroine that is both likeable and frustrating. There were many times that I wanted her to follow her heart rather than the guidance of others. Rourke is a stand-out character, and definitely a hero that readers will find dashing and romantic."Love's Rescue" is a pleasurable read set beside the alluring and tempestuous ocean. Johnson promises more romance and adventure as the "Keys of Promise" series continues.I received a complimentary copy of this book from Revell through Net Galley. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions expressed above are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255 “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.

By Christian Fiction and More I selected Love’s Rescue to review mainly due to its setting, Key West, Florida. Having spent a lot of time in south Florida, and being interested in the history of the area, I found this book very appealing. Well, I got way more than I bargained for. This book really drew out my metacognitive side, making me think about the way I was thinking as I read. (Okay, maybe I’ve been reading too much about comprehension strategy instruction, but it did make me appreciate this book even more!) This book has characters you will cheer for as well as those you will love to hate. At one point I wondered to myself how I was enjoying the book so much even though I was gritting my teeth with frustration at the turn of events, and while I hate to admit it, I did take a peek at the last few pages just to make sure all was going to end well. The author gives just the right amount of information for the reader to make inferences without feeling like they came too easy, and without throwing in some new information or character from left field, allowing the reader that pleasant sense of accomplishment as the pieces of the story begin to fit together. The sights and sounds of the 1800s Key West come alive with the author’s wonderful word-smithing, backed by sound research. Elizabeth Benjamin returns to Key West after a four year absence. Having fended off all potential suitors, she anxiously waits to see what type of reception she will get from Rourke O’Malley, captain of a wrecker ship. She just didn’t anticipate her ship’s colliding into a reef being the event that would bring her face to face with Captain O’Malley. Elizabeth also has to wonder about how her father will react to her returning unwed and unbetrothed. As Elizabeth struggles to meet her obligations while remaining true to herself, she uncovers family secrets that will impact the lives of everyone within her home, and many outside of the family as well. She is faced with hard decisions and the possibility of great sacrifice. While multi-themed, the central theme that winds itself throughout the story, and brings it to a climax, is forgiveness. The author deals with the struggle we all face at one time or another, the desire to forgive in the face of a stronger desire to withhold it. Fans of historical romantic fiction will enjoy this book, even those who may not have selected a book within this genre that focuses on Christian themes. I thank Revell Publishers and Christian Fiction Blog Alliance for providing Love’s Rescue for my honest review. I did not receive any monetary compensation for a favorable review and the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Set in the Florida Keys just prior to the Civil War, the warm tropical descriptions and clear differences between rich and poor made me feel like I was in British India. It was different than anything I've read in a very long time, and I really liked it.Elizabeth is trying to make up for past wrongs, but has to learn that only God can control her past or future. I do wish a little more time was spent building up the romance between Rourke and Elizabeth, as it seemed like most of the story neither knew that the other liked the other. Still, the overall story of wreckers, a crippled brother, slaves and free was both appealing and fascinating.I would definitely read any future books by Christine!*I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. No other compensation was given, and all thoughts are 100% mine.*

With its arch-like trees covering the town, Clearwater provided a safe haven for Jennie Phillips, an apprenticing druggist in her father's store in the late nineteenth century. While on a routine trip to deliver a prescription out in the country, she is alarmed when she encounters what some consider to be the ghost of murdered Irish girl roaming the Tamarack Swamp. She becomes obsessed with the unsolved case. At the same time, she struggles with her responsibility to uphold her father's ethical practices when she learns what some women are using their over-the-counter patent medicines for. Yet when she learns that rape and burglary can take place even in her village, Jennie realizes Clearwater is not as idyllic as she once thought, and for many women, the art of living isn't as exact as dispensing.

By Affaire de Coeur Rising Eagle and Buffalo Dreamer knew their visions of the future regarding their tribe were destined to come true no matter how disturbing they were. There would be no stopping the migration of the white settlers into their lands, and they both knew something had to be done and soon. As a Lakota holy man, Rising Eagle had been told to take Buffalo Dreamer as his wife because she was the Chosen One that he had dreamt about. Together, they had seen over thirty years of their visions come true one by one. They had raised their children to be strong and true. Even now, their oldest, Brave Horse, rode with his best friend Crazy Horse to keep the Lakota lands peaceful and free of the white settlers who were constantly coming onto their lands looking for gold. Mystic Warriors is the final chapter of the saga of Rising Eagle and Buffalo Dreamer. Ms. Bittner weaves a tale around historical fact that explains the battle the Lakota Nation went though to preserve their sacred tribal lands better than any history book ever did. She brings out, in story form, the treachery and hatefulness that was practiced against the Lakota while, at the same time, preserving the beauty and dignity of the tribal rituals and beliefs. An excellent saga from start to finish!

A triumphant finale to this exciting historocal series By A Customer In 1855 in a remote part of the Lakota Nation, four white buffalo hunters see the skin of a white buffalo for the first time near a single Indian teepee. Though fearful, the quartet decides to steal the pelt. Causing a diversion, they filch the hide. Responsible for protecting the hide, Buffalo Dreamer and Rising Eagle are stunned at the loss of one of the People's most sacred talismans. They know that as long as the Lakota possessed the white buffalo, fortune would be their companion. Now the tribe faces hard times as the whites led by their cavalry seem greater than the sands and no treaty is sacred. As the people starve, MYSTIC WARRIORS try to regain what was lost in land and more significantly the white buffalo even though they face impossible odds. MYSTIC WARRIORS, the third tale in Rosanne Bittner's "Mystic Dreams" series, is a tremendous ending to an incredible historical fiction trilogy. The story line is exciting, poignant, and dramatic as the audience sees the intrusion of whites on the Lakota mostly through the eyes of the Indians. The cast including real persona like Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull. The fictionalized characters seem genuine as well which adds to the feel of observing a great people's struggle to survive. Ms. Bittner shows she is one of the genre's best as her audience will seek the previous two novels (MYSTIC DREAMERS and MYSTIC VISIONS).Harriet Klausner

By Huntress Reviews ***** This is the best Historical Romance trilogy I have read in my life! Stop everything and read this book. It makes perfect sense if you have not read the first two (Mystic Dreamers and Mystic Vision); however, if read in order you will understand even more! The author's main characters in this book are the same as the previous. They are Buffalo Dreamer, a Lakota holy woman, and Rising Eagle, her husband. Their children are now grown. Rising Eagle still did not know he had a son in the white world, from a previous captive, that was raised by Florence, whose Lakota name was Fall Leaf Woman. That son was William, a "blue coat" for the Whites.Buffalo Dreamer had been told long ago that as long as the Lakota had the skin of the sacred white buffalo, all would be well. But white trappers stole it from her. Until it made its way back to her, all who owned it would have bad luck! The author followed history as she wrote too! And as in real life, many battles are shown. I saw several characters from the previous books slain in battle or massacred during Army raids. This book makes the reader see and feel all the love, hope, and pain that the brave people did in the past. Rosanne Bittner makes history come alive through her fiction! I cannot recommend this highly enough! *****

Word's Search & Replace capabilities explained By Shopper After all these years, do you think you know Word? Not like this.Word's Search & Replace capability is powerful although many editors and writers do not realize it or make use of it.In this tiny tome, Jack Lyon takes us by the hand and models how to make time-saving use of this capability. In example after example, he invites us to duplicate his methods of fixing citations, numbers (Chicago style) and to search and replace with ASCII and ANSI codes and Unicodes, all the stuff our eyes have glazed over for so many years. Jack doesn't get so geeky that we can't follow what he's doing. He demonstrates time-saving tips, step by step.Wildcard Cookbook is packed with techniques designed to make our copyediting lives easier and smarter. At a slim 104 pages, it is concise and written in a breezy style. If I left it on the train, I'd buy it again.

“An adventurer’s story told as never before.” The Los Angeles Times. Imagine … Exploration and the grace to surrender to the dark, delicious grasp of a river. Native Americans, the first few white people who dared to explore the West, and the settlers who followed—all braved a glorious, and treacherous, wilderness. And, all of them pinned their lives to the great rivers charging out of the Rocky Mountains. One such man, willing to risk it all, is Mac “The Dancer” Maclean, who finds his destiny high in the headwaters in the Yellowstone, the swift river that rumbles through two majestic waterfalls and charges across the vast plains of Montana. Mac Maclean came far ahead of the emigrants to that land with a few friends. For companionship they found Indians. They became husbands and fathers to Indian women and children. Mac hunted, he traded, he battled. He gave his all for a life that made his heart soar. Maclean has the sort of courage and deep compassion that work to make him a legend. As he creates a life fully his own, he has no idea that future generations will honor his memory and build upon the life he created on the fertile banks of the river he called home. Some believe that his spirit still inhabits the Yellowstone country. Others hear the joyous voice of the Dancer inside the Yellowstone—tumbling river of life, death, and dreams. Reviews “Through the lives of Mac “Dancer” Maclean and his daring companions, delve here into the experiences of the few white men who ventured into the Rocky Mountains ahead of all others, their lives thunderous with danger, dazzling in with excitement, deeply satisfying in their creation of a new and ever-surprising way of life. In these pages ride with the true discoverers of the West, their story told as never before.” —The Los Angeles Times “Richly told American historical fiction. The longings, determination, adventure and liberties that built the U.S. are richly and deeply experienced in the characters, events and luxurious descriptive writing. Read it. Live it.” – Kennedy Library, Ball State University

The Yellowstone (Wild Rivers West, 1) (Volume 1), by Win Blevins

About the Author I came naturally by my yen to wander far places, physical, imaginary, and spiritual... -"Win Blevins" Win Blevins, of Cherokee, Irish and Welsh descent, is from a family that was on the move, always west. Win's childhood was spent roaming, his dad a railroad man. Win went to school in St. Louis, and the family spent summers in little towns along the tracks of the railroads. He listened to the whistles blow at night and wanted to go wherever the trains went.Seldom has a young man been in more of a hurry. Using scholarships, Win ran through a succession of colleges, receiving his master's degree, with honors, in English from Columbia University. He taught at Purdue University and Franklin College, then received a fellowship to attend USC. Win became a newspaperman - a music, theater, and film critic for both major Los Angeles papers. In 1972 he took the big leap-he quit his job to write out his passions-exploring and learning wild places-full time. His greatest passion of all has been to set the stories of these places, their people and animals, colors and smells, into books.Win climbed mountains for ten years. A fluke blizzard caught him on a mountaintop and froze his feet, an end to climbing mountains, but not to exploring them. He's rafted rivers in the west, particularly the Snake and the San Juan, and was briefly a river guide. His love of the great Yellowstone River gave him a fine appreciation for the people who first loved these wild places. Along the way, Win lost the use of his legs and learned to sail, deciding a boat was a good place for a man without legs. He regained the use of his legs, and maintains his love of the open seas. His first book, "Give Your Heart to the Hawks", is still in print after thirty years. Other works include "Stone Song", a novel about Crazy Horse, for which he won the 1996 Mountains and Plains Booksellers Award and the 1996 Spur Award. He's written 15 books, including a Dictionary of the American West, numerous screenplays and magazine articles. He lives quietly in the canyon country of Utah. His passions grow with time-his wife Meredith, the center of his life, their five kids and grandkids. Classical music, baseball, roaming red rock mesas in the astonishing countryside, playing music He considers himself blessed to be one of the people creating new stories about the west, and is proud to call himself a member of the world's oldest profession-storyteller.
