Weiss This is a fascinating history of bicycle touring and the author has done a remarkable job of interweaving the books, periodical articles and biographies of many cyclists together with a social history of cycling. Academic books can be boring, but this is quite an engrossing account. Terrific chapter notes and bibliography as well for those wanting to delve more deeply into the subject.
