For all baseball fans!" (even Reds fans). The concept is as fun as the information in the book yourself. It's one of those "I'll just read one more quote" kind of books where you read one more, and then the next and then the next, and so on. The layout draws your eyes to the quotable quotes, as you get a real measure of the person as well as the Yankee star.. This format will undoubtedly be copied, but probably not as well.

A treasure for true fans By Anne Kostick Danny Peary understands baseball, but more important, he really understands the players, the personalities, and the history of the game. This book creates an in-depth portrait of a great star--both the man and his career--in his own words. Peary's many books are always excellent: wonderfully, written, deeply researched, surprising, sometimes quirky, and always gratifying. This one's another home run.

The quotations seamlessly tell the story of the great Yankee shortstop, and if you think Jeter was silent his whole career, you'll be surprised how thoughtful & forthcoming he is.
