At only forty pages it is simultaneously accessible, digestible, and a bit lacking in depth. There's a strong and broad swath of links inside this little one-dollar guidebook. Think of it like a signpost to outside sources that can take you farther on your journey toward self-employment.

I was curious about this book as I've been thinking about becoming a virtual assistant for authors, since I am also a book blogger. I thought this book would address becoming a virtual assistant, along with other ideas for making a little bit of extra cash in ways I hadn't thought of before.On that, I was a little disappointed. The author, Harrop, does suggest a broad range of ideas for making money online, but actually left out quite a few things I already do (and have been doing for years) to make extra money online - "to leave the job behind" so to speak - like answering surveys, using rebate / coupon apps, etc. Definitely not "get rich quick" schemes, but the extra income does help.What Harrop does talk about, she does well, though I was a little disappointed that on each individual topic, she just includes links to other websites instead of telling us the information herself. I don't mind a few links to expand upon the topic, but I feel when an author writes a paragraph or two introducing us to a subject and then leaves links to other writers, it's a co-op and lazy to boot.I still am rating the book four stars however, because this is a great starting point, especially if you've never thought about trying to make extra income online, and she does mention some great resources that one may not have heard of before.--I received a book for free in order for my honest opinion. I was not paid for my review.

By cat lover There are some tips and ideas, with links to web web sites where you can learn more -- but I found it geared to someone who writes/is willing to write -- it has an odd beginning, where you need to push a big button underneath her blog links etc -- and when you think you are going to start reading, you are faced with more promos - like how to make money from Kindle Publishing (you don't need to be a professional writer....) where you are forced to put in your email address to get off the page -- I probably entered my email when I first read the book -- but now that I have read several other make-money-online books, I realize she is building her list to sell me other things and make profit, as you are supposed to do -- so I'm writing this from the notes when I read this first - there's an extremely long intro, quite autobiography, and for a 40 page book it's interesting but oh well - shows you what can happen if you yack into Dragon dictation software and then download to write a good part of your book -- and although there are some good concepts for a beginner especially, to start getting an idea what you can do online to make money, DON'T quit your job - the ways included tend to be time consuming and not particularly profitable.
