It captures the lives of two people and their romances over the years. It takes place in Australia so that makes it also more interesting. The romances found and love and faith demonstrated are very real. I look forward to reading more works by Zillah Williams.I received the book from the Book Club Network in exchange for my honest opinion.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A nice love story By Victoria I have just finished reading this book. It is a Christian love story set in and after WWII. It is not a war story, so to speak, but does have a little about the war in the way Ric, one of the main characters, explains/tells of his past. It is a little bit of history, also, as I learned a couple of things I did not know. It is written to show God has a purpose in our lives, even though we may not understand it while it is going on. The main characters are well developed and draw you into their lives. You root for them and want a happy ending. The story is well written and keeps your attention throughout. I have never read this author before, but enjoy her style of writing and would surely enjoy more from her. I highly recommend this book. This book was given to me in exchange for my honest review.

It takes place shortly after World War II. I enjoyed the story. Jo's fiance was killed in the war. The main male character, Ric, was German/English but lived in Spain and had led an unusual life but was not very smart when it comes to women. He had to deal with some issues from the war. If you enjoy books set in the 1940s, you would probably like this book.I received this book from www.bookfun.org in exchange for my honest opinion.
