By Joan Kinch Michelle Springer-Llana captured me immediately with a deathbed scene, an amulet, and a mysterious statement of stolen friendship! This is a great story about the intricacies of Egyptian Royalty and the women who, due to circumstances of a birth struggle, came into those lives. This book is filled with rich word pictures and oozes with love, life, death, and suspense. I was alternately horrified and delighted, enraged and satisfied. Thebes, Memphis, the Nile, palaces, temples, and tombs spring to ...life with the rich word pictures grounded in bits of history. There is a twist of Grecian underworld that swells and slithers throughout the pages.

This book transports you back to the time of the mighty kings,queens and the the people who were an essential part of their lives. Once you begin you are swept up in ceremony,ritual and mystery that will keep you turning pages till the end---which comes much too soon. A very good read!
